Apple and Pear canvas print by Alan Mager.   Bring your artwork to life with the texture and depth of a stretched canvas print. Your image gets printed onto one of our premium canvases and then stretched on a wooden frame of 1.5" x 1.5" stretcher bars (gallery wrap) or 5/8" x 5/8" stretcher bars (museum wrap). Your canvas print will be delivered to you "ready to hang" with pre-attached hanging wire, mounting hooks, and nails.

Design Details

This is one of my early still lifes. I particularly like the tight, triangular composition and the simple complementary red/green color scheme.

Alan Mager

I made my first attempt at painting with oils in 1977 and immediately fell in love with the medium. Since then, I have painted in spurts, often experiencing long periods of inactivity. But once I was exposed to oil painting I have thought about painting almost constantly. After I retired in 1996, I became active in the performing arts as a musician, singer, actor, theater set designer and director. Through all this, I never stopped thinking about painting, and now painting has become my primary creative outlet. I have never had any formal art lessons. From books, and more recently the Internet, I have learned a lot. Mostly, however, I figure things out for myself, and this is the most rewarding part of the experience for me. My...
